Bread Coffeehouse is a place unlike any other on campus

…a place where good coffee flows freely, delicious treats are served daily, where residents and staff know your name, where you will be treated with love no matter what you believe, a place that never pushes Jesus on you but a place where the staff believes in serving Jesus by serving you and loving you.

We have live bands, great dinners, quiet study times, deep conversations, great story tellers and people who will listen to you. And we are a lot of fun! Come play ping pong or a board game, create art by baking or drawing on the tables, pick up a guitar, play with playdough or dance in the kitchen.

Located at the intersection of North Decatur Road and Clifton Road, Bread Atlanta serves the students of Emory University and the surrounding area. The house is open Monday through Thursday during the semester for students to get a free cup of coffee, play games, and feel at home.

Brooke Vore

Interim Team Leader, Campus Minister

Brooke launched Bread Oxford in 2016 with the dream that every student on campus would know there is a place where they are seen, known, loved, and valued. She joined the Bread Emory team in 2023 and looks forward to bringing all the she learned at Oxford to the Emory campus. She is more excited than ever to offer lavish hospitality, build trust-based relationships, and provide environments for students to experience the love of Jesus.

Christiaan finds tremendous joy in walking alongside others on their journey of discovering truth. Asking others questions, listening to their experiences, and loving without an agenda during and after their search for truth energizes him more than a cup of coffee.

Christiaan is especially thrilled for the opportunity to serve students at Bread Emory through his love of cooking, excitement for games of all sorts, and passion for storytelling. With everything going on in the world and life, students, now more than ever, need authentic community, a place to experience the love of Jesus, and the freedom to have honest conversations with someone who cares about them exactly where they’re at… and willing to accompany them on the journey for a season!

Justin Wang

Intern

Yu-Hsin (Justin) Wang graduated in 2025 from Emory University double majoring in Philosophy, Politics, and Law (PPL) and Russian and Eastern European Studies (REES). His involvement at Bread since freshman year has greatly impacted his college life. Since his first year of college, he has been very dedicated to the role of barista. One of his favorite things to do at Bread is to serve coffee to his fellow students and befriend them through the opportunity of making a cup of coffee for them. At the end of the college years, he felt called to serve the bread community, and is determined to continue the journey of serving others.

Justin is also a very passionate cook and a deeply analytical critic of Russian literature. If you ever find yourself interested or wanting to learn more about Russian literature and culture, come find Justin. He will not hesitate to unfold any knowledge he so treasures.
